E-League Signs Deals with Arby's, Buffalo Wild Wings
The amount of traction the eSports industry has built in the last couple years has been extraordinary, and the attention has not gone unnoticed. Recently, media giant Turner Broadcasting announced the teams which will be competing it it’s new E-League program and they have now turned around and announced a few of the big-name companies which have signed 2-year esports advertising contracts: Buffalo Wild Wings, Arby’s, and Credit Karma.
“eSports is built on passion and loyalty from fans and athletes, and we look forward to supporting that through our sponsorship of E-League” says Rob Lynch, chief marketing officer for Arby’s. As any follower of the eSports community knows, the continual signing of major companies to esports advertising deals can only mean more growth and acceptance into the mainstream viewing audience.
E-League will feature weekly broadcasts of Counter Strike: Global Offensive matches between several of the biggest eSports organizations in the world including Team SoloMid, Cloud 9, Echo Fox, Luminosity, and Fnatic. The games can be seen both online (starting May 24th) and on television via TBS (starting May 27th) creating a great entry point for many new fans.
